- Apple Sign In Identifier: A unique, anonymous identifier provided by Apple for authentication. We never see your actual Apple ID or email.
- Child's Name (Optional): Used only to personalize stories. Stored locally on your device.
- Child's Birth Date (Optional): Used to calculate age for age-appropriate content. Stored locally on your device.
- Voice Recordings: Temporarily processed to convert speech to text. Not stored on our servers.
- Story Prompts: Text descriptions sent to AI for story generation. Not linked to your identity.
How We Use Information
- To authenticate users securely via Sign in with Apple
- To personalize stories with your child's name and age-appropriate content
- To generate custom audio stories using AI
- To sync your stories across devices via your personal iCloud
Data Storage & Security
- Local Storage: Profile information and stories are stored on your device
- iCloud Sync: Stories sync through your personal iCloud account (encrypted by Apple)
- Keychain: Sensitive credentials stored in iOS Keychain (hardware-encrypted)
- API Proxy: Story generation requests are routed through our secure Cloudflare Worker proxy
Third-Party Services
- Apple (Sign in with Apple, iCloud): For authentication and cloud sync
- OpenAI: For AI story generation and text-to-speech narration
- Cloudflare: For secure API routing
We do not share personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
No Tracking
We do not use analytics, advertising trackers, or any third-party tracking services. Your activity stays private.
Children's Privacy (COPPA)
We take children's privacy seriously:
- We do not collect more information than necessary
- We do not share children's information with third parties for marketing
- Parents can request deletion of their child's data at any time
- Parental verification is required for settings access
